The Lacny's founded Simply Internet in 1996. Three years later they were acquired by a publicly traded company in an all-cash, multi-million dollar acquisition.
During their tenure at Simply Internet, the Lacny's founded Simply Stocks with Kumar Prathipati in 1998 and divested in 2002. Simply Stocks managed staff exceeding 400 people in the U.S.A and India and their clients included Michael Dell, Banc of America Securities, Arthur Anderson and Value Line. They learned quickly the importance of understanding and managing finances and staff in a complex environment.
Simply Stocks was acquired in October 2004 from their purchaser for $225,000,000 by McGraw Hill/Standard and Poors.
Over the last several years, the Lacny's primary focus has been developing multi-million dollar homes and condominium conversions.
